Nutritionist notes: Raw food deliciousness! Raw plant-based food plays a very big role in our diets by helping our gut biome perform their functions to its maximum potential. It is recommended to try to get 50% of our diet from raw food, which includes raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds (not raw animal-based foods). The reason for this is that when we cook our food, it looses many of its properties due to the heat.
